Property investment, development and car parking operator Town Centre Securities has bought a London head office at 45 Weymouth Street in Marylebone.

TCS said it forms part of the company’s "ongoing portfolio diversification strategy and long-term capital growth plans".

The vendor and price was not disclosed but Howard de Walden is the last recorded owner.

The recently refurbished, 4,760-square-foot Grade II listed property is residential on the third floor, with office space on lower ground, ground, first and second floors.

TCS says it means it can create a London base for the business following the sale of its previous home in the capital in 2021, with the remaining offices offering opportunities that will appeal to sectors including medical and healthcare.

The building is in the centre of the capital's medical district, close to London and Harley Street clinics, as well as Princess Grace and King Edward VII Hospitals.

Clifton acted on behalf of TCS.

Rob Thompson, asset manager at TCS, said:

“The strategic acquisition of Weymouth Street further enhances our portfolio with the addition of this prime property in one of the capital’s most revered locations. The investment aligns with our core acquisitions and investment strategy where long-term value can be added."

Jacob Ziff, investment surveyor at Clifton, added:

“It has been great to work with TCS again to satisfy their London office requirement following the sale of the company’s Duke Street base last year.”
