Clifton Agency rises above the weather in Three Peaks trek!
Clifton Agency have finally recovered from The Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the John Miles Memorial Scholarship. The team battled through the elements and sideways rain to conquer the peaks, raising both eyebrows and funds for a noble cause.
The team set out from London in high spirits as they embarked on their journey. That involved summiting the highest peaks in the UK: Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m) - all within 24 hours. While the team anticipated a weekend of picturesque landscapes, Mother Nature had a different plan in store.
Ben Simpson commented:
"We knew it was going to be a challenge, but we didn't expect to be practically swimming up Ben Nevis!"
Despite the gloomy conditions, the team refused to let the weather dampen their spirits. With waterproof gear that had clearly seen better days, they ascended Ben Nevis, embraced the squelchy trails of Scafell Pike through the night, and forged ahead through the mist-covered paths of Snowdon.
