Earlier this month, Clifton were pleased to host clients from ProLogis & Evolve/M Core for a whistlestop golf tour of the Scottish Highlands.
A crack of dawn flight to Inverness, followed by a short drive and we arrived at our first destination, the Championship Course at internationally renowned Royal Dornoch. Ranked in the Top 10 courses in the world it certainly lived up to expectations, whilst Spring did not – with gale-force winds testing the teams’ skills. At the end of day one the Clifton/Prologis team were on top with Evolve raring for day two at Skibo Castle.
The wedding venue for Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s - Skibo Castle lies on the shores of the beautiful Dornoch Firth, Sutherland. The newly re-modelled course combined with some heavy gusts of wind from the adjacent Loch, offered another challenging golfing experience. The Evolve Team were ultimately successful on the day two match play and the Stableford overall.
We then retired to enjoy some true local hospitality and the competition was settled with par-ing Scottish Whiskeys. After a fine long lunch, and quick trip back to Inverness Airport, we all made it home in time for the Friday bedtime routine!
