We were delighted to recently meet with Harriette Hudson, the first beneficiary of the John Miles Scholarship.
Founding Partners Ben & Jim were invited to the Henley Business School at Reading University on the 12th January.
The day involved a guided tour of the Campus by Richard Nunes, Undergraduate Programme Director, Real Estate & Planning and Dr Paola Tinti, Head of Fundraising for Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF).
Following various introductions and photo opportunities, everyone then enjoyed a relaxing lunch off campus at The Bell & The Dragon restaurant overlooking the River Kennett.
Ben Simpson commented:
“After hearing such good things about Harriette and her academic achievements to date, it was lovely to eventually meet in person. The Foundation means a lot to myself and the wider business and was great to be able to welcome Harriette as the first recipient of the Scholarship. We talked at length about her interest in property and how (like me) it was her father who steered her into the Real Estate world following school.”
Jim Remfry commented:
“Harriette is very much at the start of her Real Estate career but if we can help support her progression in any way we would love to help. We have agreed for Harriette to join us for work experience in the summer months at Clifton HQ as we continue to grow as a business.”
The John Miles Memorial Scholarship Fund has been launched in his memory by Clifton Agency and Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF), following John’s tragic and premature death in July 2021. The scholarship will celebrate excellence and reward outstanding students enrolling on an undergraduate degree in Real Estate & Planning at Henley Business School, University of Reading.
