Clifton Free Guildford Vacancy

Acting on behalf of Avignon Capital, Clifton Agency have recently let 159 High Street, Guildford to Free People, an American bohemian apparel and lifestyle retail company (owned by parent company Urban Outfitters).

Clifton agreed a new 10 year lease (subject to a 5th year tenant break option) to URBN UK Limited trading as Free People at £90,000 pa, subject to 6 months rent free.

Ben Simpson commented:

“Following the departure of Gerald Darel, it was great to secure another reputable ladieswear retailer with a strong covenant to compliment the neighbouring retail offering.”

Matt Taylor at The McDevitt Company acted on behalf of the tenant and James Madill at Gateley Legal advised our client at Avignon Capital on the legals.

Clifton Agency continue to advise on a number of assets in Guildford City Centre and we will have some freehold sales to market in due course. To discuss this particular letting or any of our upcoming freehold sales, then please get in touch with the team.
